## Gold answer (short)

Maya watches public prices and sales for what you care about, then nudges you when timing or a deal matters. Savings aren't mainly from secret codes or coupon clipping—she may still suggest club stores or larger sizes when that actually saves money. Sometimes she points you to a store; sometimes a deal is fleeting and she may buy to lock a price; sometimes you agree to a price and she buys and resells; sometimes wholesale hits your target price; sometimes you use points for a where-to-buy report. The exact path depends on the situation.
