Cash Back Terms
Maya Verdant, LLC · Last updated: October 18, 2026
These Cash Back Terms are part of the Maya Membership Terms between you and Maya Verdant, LLC ("Maya"). Where they differ, these terms govern cash back and the Membership Terms govern everything else.
Disputes about cash back are resolved as described in Sections 18 (arbitration and class action waiver) and 19 of the Maya Terms of Service.
1. What cash back is
Cash back is a rebate that Maya pays you, from Maya's own funds, when you buy a product that Maya offered you with cash back. Brands and retailers pay Maya to run these offers, but cash back is Maya's promise to you, not theirs. You have no claim against any brand or retailer, or against any money they pay Maya, and Maya does not hold money on your behalf.
- You earn cash back only when a receipt you send Maya shows you bought the offered product.
- Cash back applies only to the offered product, and only when Maya showed you the offer before you bought it and you send the receipt while the offer is still active.
- Cash back on an item is never more than the price you paid for it.
- Offers with cash back are paid for by the brand or retailer, and Maya labels them as sponsored.
- Cash back is paid out as a gift card you choose, not as cash, once at least $25 has settled (Sections 3 and 4).
- Maya shows cash back in dollars, in the Cash back section of the Maya menu.
2. Cash back is not Maya points
Cash back and Maya points are separate. Cash back can never be spent as points, and points can never become cash back or cash. Section 4 of the Membership Terms still governs points.
3. When cash back can be moved
- Settling. New cash back settles for 7 days before it can be moved. During that time Maya may review the receipt and reverse cash back that came from a receipt that was not genuine or not yours. Maya may also reverse cash back after it settles if it later finds it was earned through fraud (Section 6).
- Minimum. You can move cash back once at least $25 has settled.
- All of it. A move takes your whole settled balance. There is no partial amount.
- One at a time. Only one card can be on its way at once.
4. How you receive it
When you ask Maya to move your cash back, Maya sends the amount to Virtual Incentives, which emails you a link where you choose your gift card. To receive it you must:
- have an email address you have confirmed with Maya;
- confirm the first and last name that will go on the card; and
- the first time, and whenever these terms change, reply AGREE to accept them.
By replying AGREE you also confirm that the purchases behind your cash back were your own.
Maya shares your name, email address and the amount with Virtual Incentives, which uses them under its own privacy policy.
Maya pays any fees Virtual Incentives charges for the card. Virtual Incentives usually emails the link within a few business days. If it has not arrived, tell Maya. Once Virtual Incentives has issued your card link, the card is final and the amount leaves your cash back. If Virtual Incentives cannot issue the card, Maya puts the full amount back in your cash back and lets you know.
Keep your email account secure. Maya cannot replace a card link after Virtual Incentives sends it to the address you confirmed.
The gift card is issued by Virtual Incentives or its card issuer, not by Maya, and is governed by its issuer's terms, including any expiration date or fees, which are shown before you choose your card.
5. Accounts and eligibility
Cash back is available to members who are legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia and who are 18 or older, one account per person. Maya may pause a move for review, including when the total moved to you in a calendar year passes $600.
6. Fraud
Cash back earned through false receipts, receipts that are not yours or your household's, or other fraud is cancelled, and cash back already moved that came from it may have to be repaid. Maya may pause moves while it investigates, for up to 90 days, and may close the account under Section 8.1 of the Membership Terms. Cash back you earned on genuine purchases is not taken away; after any amount you owe Maya is deducted, you can still move it under Section 4.
7. Taxes
Cash back is a rebate on the price of things you bought, so Maya does not expect to issue tax forms for it. Section 9 of the Membership Terms still applies, including Maya's right to request a Form W-9 and issue a Form 1099 if reporting is ever required. Maya does not give tax advice.
8. Balances you do not move
Your settled cash back stays yours. It does not expire and Maya charges no fee on it. If your account closes for any reason other than fraud (Section 6), Maya will move any settled balance to a card on your request, even if it is below $25 where Virtual Incentives can issue a card for that amount. If you have not used Maya or your cash back for a long time, Maya will try to reach you by text and email before treating the balance as unclaimed property, and will then send it to the state required by law, where you can claim it.
9. Changes and ending the program
Maya may change these terms or end the cash back program. Maya will give you at least 30 days' notice by text or email before a change that reduces how you earn or move cash back. No change will reduce cash back already credited to you.
If the program ends, Maya will tell you at least 30 days ahead, will honor cash back on offers you were shown and bought before the end date, and will move any settled balance to a card on your request with no minimum where Virtual Incentives can issue a card for that amount. Any balance that is not moved is handled as described in Section 8.
10. Mistakes
If Maya credits cash back in error, for example from a misread receipt or the wrong amount, Maya may correct it, including after it settles, and if it was already moved to a card Maya may deduct it from future cash back. If you think your cash back is missing or wrong, tell Maya within 60 days of the purchase and Maya will review it and tell you the result.
