Copyright & DMCA Policy
Maya Verdant, LLC ("Maya") respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its members to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512, we respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement involving content submitted through our services.
Designated Copyright Agent
Maya has registered a DMCA Designated Agent with the U.S. Copyright Office (Registration No. DMCA-1074859). Direct all copyright notices to our agent:
- Email (fastest): [email protected]
- By mail: DMCA Designated Agent, Maya Verdant, LLC, 30 N Gould St, Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801
- Phone: +1 (505) 732-6292
Notices sent to any other address or contact may not receive a timely response.
Filing a Takedown Notice
If you believe content submitted to Maya infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to represent, send a written notice to [email protected] that includes all of the following (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)):
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf;
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed;
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (for example, a submission ID, the date and channel of the submission, or a description);
- Your contact information — name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address;
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
Incomplete notices may not be actionable. Knowingly making a material misrepresentation in a takedown notice may expose you to liability for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
Counter-Notification
If your content was removed or disabled and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to [email protected] that includes (17 U.S.C. § 512(g)):
- Your physical or electronic signature;
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal;
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification;
- Your name, address, and telephone number, a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if your address is outside the United States, any judicial district in which Maya may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the party who filed the original notice (or its agent).
If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the removed material in 10–14 business days unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the allegedly infringing activity.
Repeat Infringers
Consistent with our Acceptable Use Policy, Maya may, in appropriate circumstances and at its discretion, suspend or terminate the accounts of members who are repeat infringers.
