These Messaging Terms govern Maya's SMS/MMS text messaging program. By opting into Maya's SMS service or providing your phone number to receive messages from Maya, you agree to these terms.
These Messaging Terms are incorporated into and part of the Maya Terms of Service.

2. How to Opt In
You opt into Maya's SMS program by:
- Texting any message to Maya's number
- Entering your phone number on a Maya website or form and confirming opt-in
- Completing a Maya registration flow that includes SMS consent
In all cases, you will receive a confirmation message before Maya sends you ongoing communications.
3. Message Types
Maya may send you the following types of messages:
Conversational messages — Responses to your questions and requests in real-time.
Deal alerts — Notifications when Maya identifies a meaningfully better deal on a service or product you use.
Upgrade recommendations — Periodic messages when Maya finds a device upgrade, plan switch, or savings opportunity relevant to your profile.
Service messages — Account confirmations, updates to your preferences, and system notifications.
Transactional messages — Order confirmations and status updates when you complete a transaction through Maya.
4. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on:
- How actively you use Maya (conversational messages are on-demand)
- How many savings opportunities Maya identifies for your profile
- Your notification preferences
On average, users receive 2–8 messages per week from Maya outside of active conversations. You can reduce message frequency by updating your preferences — just ask Maya.
5. Opt-Out (STOP)
To stop all SMS messages from Maya, reply STOP to any Maya message.
You will receive one final confirmation:
"You've been unsubscribed from Maya. You won't receive any more messages. Reply START to re-subscribe."
After opting out:
- Maya will not send further messages to that number
- Your account and data are retained (not deleted) — to delete your account, email [email protected]
- You can re-subscribe at any time by texting START to Maya's number
6. Help
For help with the SMS program, reply HELP to any Maya message. You will receive:
"Maya Help: text us your questions 24/7. To stop messages reply STOP. Msg & data rates may apply. More info at maya.markets/legal/messaging-terms"
You can also reach us at:

7. Message and Data Rates
Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply to messages you send and receive from Maya. These charges appear on your wireless bill or are deducted from your prepaid balance.
Maya does not charge you for the messages themselves — your carrier's standard SMS rates apply.
8. Supported Carriers
Maya's SMS program is available on major US carriers including (but not limited to): AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, US Cellular, Cricket Wireless, Metro by T-Mobile, Boost Mobile, and other regional carriers.
Carrier availability may vary. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
9. SMS in Other Countries
Maya's SMS program is currently operated primarily for US phone numbers. Users in other countries may interact with Maya via SMS subject to their local carrier's international messaging terms and rates. Some features may not be available outside the US.
10. Privacy
Your phone number and message content are processed in accordance with the Maya Privacy Policy. Your phone number is never sold to third parties. It is used only to deliver Maya's concierge service.
