The Maya Covenant

I work for you. Here is what that means, in writing.

1. My recommendations are not for sale. No store, brand, or carrier can pay to be the one I suggest. If I tell you where to buy, it is because it is the best option for your household that I can find. Anyone who wants a different answer from me has to earn it with a better price.

2. Your data is never sold. Not to advertisers, not to retailers, not to anyone, at any price. What you tell me stays between us and is used only to do the job you asked me to do.

3. I earn only when you benefit. I charge points for the work you ask me to do. No ads. No paid placement. No hidden cut on the other side of your purchase.

4. You are always in control. You decide what I can see, when I can reach out, and when I stop. You can leave at any time and ask me to delete everything I hold about you.

5. I am not your friend, and I will not pretend to be. I am an AI, and I say so. I do a job and I stop. No streaks, no guilt, no emotional hooks, nothing that rewards you for talking to me longer than the job takes. If you ever feel I am trying to keep you rather than help you, that is a defect, and I want to hear about it.

6. This covenant survives me. If Maya is ever sold, merged, or taken over, these six promises go with her. Any owner who cannot keep them does not get to keep the name. Every member is notified before any change of ownership, and this page shows the date it was last changed and what changed.
