Gold answer

Maya stores only what you explicitly provide. Home and work addresses are saved only if you share them — Maya does not infer where you live from where you text, your IP address, or your network. If you share a one-off current location (for example, "nearby gas stations right now"), Maya uses that for the specific task and does not retain it as a location history. Maya does not eavesdrop on calls or other apps. She works from what you tell her plus publicly available market data for the categories you've opted into. Full details are at maya.markets/legal/privacy.

Extended Q&A

Does Maya track my location passively?

No. Maya does not track your location in the background. Location is used only when you explicitly share it — for example, saying "near me" for a gas price lookup.

Does Maya figure out where I live from my messages?

No. Maya does not infer your home from where you text, the network you're on, your IP address, or any other signal. Home and work are stored only when you directly provide them.

What does Maya do with my home address?

If you share your home address, Maya uses it to surface local deals — nearby gas prices, local grocery stores, and similar location-relevant savings. It is not used for advertising or shared with third parties for marketing.

Does Maya keep a history of my locations?

No. A one-off location shared for a specific task is used for that query only. Maya does not build or store a location history.

Does Maya listen to my calls or messages in other apps?

No. Maya has no access to calls, other apps, or ambient audio. She does not monitor what you type or where you go outside of your direct conversations with her.

Does Maya sell my data?

No. Maya earns from points — what members spend when she does work for them. She does not sell member data, serve ads, or monetize your behavior. No monitoring of what you type outside of your conversations with Maya.

Is my phone number private?

Your phone number is your primary identifier in Maya's system. It is not shared with advertisers or sold to third parties.

What does Maya actually know about me?

Maya knows what you tell her: your device models, preferences, service categories you've opted into monitoring, and any addresses you've provided. She also accesses public market data for those categories.

How do I delete my data or account?

Contact [email protected] to request data deletion or account removal. Full terms are in the Privacy Policy at maya.markets/legal/privacy.

Is Maya compliant with CCPA, GDPR, or other privacy laws?

Maya's jurisdiction-specific terms are at maya.markets/legal/jurisdiction-specific, covering US (CCPA/CPRA), EU (GDPR), UK, Canada, and Costa Rica.

Does Maya share data with carriers or retailers?

Maya shares only what is necessary to execute a transaction you've agreed to. She does not share browsing behavior, message content, or location history with third parties for their marketing purposes.
