European Union / EEA โ Additional Terms
These additional terms apply to users whose primary location is in the European Economic Area (EEA), including all EU member states plus Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein. They supplement and, in the event of any conflict, take precedence over the Maya Terms of Service.
Contracting Entity
You are contracting with:
Maya Verdant, LLC SJO-560727, #25331 Miami, Florida 33102 USA
(Maya does not currently have a European subsidiary. If a European entity is established, users will be notified and contracting entity will be updated accordingly.)
Governing Law
Your use of Maya's services is governed by the laws of Ireland, unless mandatory law in your EU member state provides otherwise. Where mandatory consumer protection law in your country grants you greater protection than Irish law, those mandatory protections apply.
Dispute Resolution
The arbitration clause and class action waiver in Section 18 of the Terms of Service do not limit your rights under mandatory EU consumer protection law. As an EU/EEA consumer, you retain the right to bring disputes before the competent courts in your country of residence.
EU Online Dispute Resolution: The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform accessible at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Maya's contact for ODR purposes is [email protected].
Right of Withdrawal (Digital Services)
Under EU consumer law, you generally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a services contract without giving a reason. However, by actively using Maya's services โ for example, by receiving your first deal recommendation via SMS โ you expressly request that performance begin immediately and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once performance has commenced.
If you wish to withdraw before using the service, contact [email protected] before your first interaction.
GDPR โ Your Data Rights
As an EEA resident, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR 2016/679):
Right of access (Art. 15): Request a copy of the personal data Maya holds about you.
Right to rectification (Art. 16): Ask Maya to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.

Right to data portability (Art. 20): Receive a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.
Right to object (Art. 21): Object to processing based on legitimate interests, including for direct marketing purposes.
Right to withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent (including AI processing and SMS communications), you can withdraw at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] with "GDPR Request" in the subject line.
Data Controller: Maya Verdant, LLC is the data controller for personal data processed through Maya's services.
Legal Basis for Processing: Maya processes your personal data on the following legal bases: (a) performance of contract โ to provide you with deal recommendations and concierge services; (b) legitimate interests โ to improve the service and prevent fraud; (c) consent โ for AI processing of your messages and SMS marketing; (d) compliance with legal obligations.
Supervisory Authority
You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority. You can find your national DPA at edpb.europa.eu/about-edpb/board/members_en.
AI and Automated Decision-Making
Where Maya uses automated processing to generate recommendations, you have rights under GDPR Art. 22 not to be subject to solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Maya's AI generates suggestions and recommendations โ final decisions are always yours. Contact [email protected] if you have concerns about automated decision-making.
EU Digital Services Act (DSA)
Maya complies with applicable requirements of the EU Digital Services Act (2022/2065). For DSA-related transparency information, contact [email protected].
