Gas
Prices near you, fuel grades, and when to fill up.
How is Maya different from GasBuddy?
GasBuddy is built around its own app and crowd layer.
Do I need an app?
No. Text, WhatsApp, web chat, or email.
Does Maya pay for my gas or reserve a pump?
No. She tells you where prices look best; you transact with the station.
Does Maya navigate me there?
She includes a map link to the station you pick...
Are prices guaranteed?
No. Always verify at the pump.
Why was Maya’s price wrong?
Last reported price may be old, or the station just changed.
Can Maya use my GPS automatically?
No. You share home once and optional one-off location when you ask.
What fuel grades work?
All standard grades for cars and trucks on the road; not specialty racing or aviation fuels.
How much does a gas check cost?
It scales with the savings Maya finds: more spread between stations (more to save) costs more points; when everything’s priced the same, it costs less.
Do I need a subscription?
No. Membership is free; use starter points, earn points (receipts, photos, referrals), buy points, or subscribe for convenience.
Will Maya alert me every time gas drops a penny?
No. Ask if you want a gas alert; most members just ⛽ when they’re filling up.
What if there are no stations near me in Maya?
Coverage is community-built.
Does Maya favor certain brands?
No. She’s not paid to rank one chain over another; competitive stations and accurate feeds get recommended because the price data supports it.
Can I use Maya only for gas?
Yes. Gas is a strong day-one use case with starter points.
