No. Maya optimizes what and where to buy for in-store (and your own pickup apps).
Adding to your list
When your main list is empty, Maya offers five ways to add an item, so you never start shopping from an empty list.
Shopping lists
Shopping lists are how Maya organizes what you buy across your stores and finds you the lowest prices at each store.
Which stores are “in network”?
There is no exclusive club.
Why doesn’t Maya list Kroger / Walmart / …?
She isn’t tied to one chain’s feed.
How much can I save?
Groceries are one of the largest recurring costs in a US household, which is why small per-item differences compound.
Do I have to go to five stores?
No. Cap stops (🛒 💲 + 1️⃣–5️⃣).
Do I need a store club card?
Get the free one... it costs nothing and takes one signup.
What about Costco or Sam’s Club... I’m not a member?
If a membership store is in your local stores, Maya assumes you can shop it.
Does Maya count Costco’s cashback?
No. Maya compares purchase price only and ignores club cashback, reward tiers and annual fees.
Does Maya integrate my Kroger app or digital coupons?
No separate loyalty integration.

Sign in to Costco.com, open Orders & Returns, select the In-Warehouse tab, select View Receipt, save it as a PDF, and email it to [email protected].

Prices can change after the last receipt or photo.

Index builds with community receipts.
Budget
Budget sets a spend target per category so Maya prices toward it.
How do I send a price photo, and why do you ask which store?
Text me a photo with the price and barcode, or a gas station price. I ask which store because each price belongs to one store.
How do I add, remove, move or copy an item on a list?
Text add and the item, or send ➕. Use ➖ to remove it, /move to move it or /copy to copy it.
How do I change my stores?
Text my info and tap 🏬 my stores. Pick a store type to see, add or remove stores.
How do I make, rename, clear, or delete a list?
Send 🛒🆕 to make a list, 🛒🗑 to empty one, or 🛒➖ to delete one. Your Main List cannot be renamed or deleted.
Can I turn a recipe into a shopping list?
Yes. Send me the whole recipe in one message. I save it so you can add its ingredients to your Main List or shop the recipe.
How do I send Maya a receipt?
Text me a photo of the receipt here, or email a photo or PDF to [email protected] from your confirmed email.
How is this different from Flipp or coupons?
Coupon apps chase promotions.
Tips for taking a photo of a receipt
Send one receipt per photo. Make sure the whole receipt is sharp and easy to read.
What happens after I send a receipt?
I read every line, add items to your purchase history, save prices, and text you a summary. Your receipts stay under 🧾 Receipts.
What is 📊 Analyze?
📊 Analyze compares products from your last 90 days of receipts at nearby stores and shows how much you could save. The report costs 25 points.
What is my kitchen, and how do I update it?
Your kitchen is my record of what you have at home. Text inventory to remove items or add them by barcode.
Why did I show a different brand?
I may show another brand for a general item, a missing store price, or a swap you chose. Your list changes only when you change it.
Privacy... who sees my list?
Your list and household data are for your Maya service...
How do I easily inventory the products in my kitchen?
Update your kitchen inventory with Maya by scanning the barcodes of products you already have in your pantry or refrigerator. Maya automatically adds products from receipts you send her, but scanning lets you quickly add items you bought before using Maya or from receipts you didn’t send. Open your Pantry, Refrigerator, or Everything Else inventory, tap Add Product, then scan and paste each product’s barcode number into Maya. Maya identifies the product and adds it to your inventory. This helps Maya avoid recommending products you already have and teaches her which products, brands, and sizes you buy so she can remember your preferences when you shop again.
Help everyone find better prices
Spot a great price while you're shopping? Send Maya a photo of the shelf tag with the barcode showing to help other shoppers find better deals. Your comfort comes first: if store staff ask you to stop, stop.
Is it okay to photograph prices in a store?
Photographing a publicly displayed price is generally a normal shopping activity, but some stores have their own policies. If a store employee asks you to stop, please stop. Maya does not expect you to risk a confrontation to submit a price.
