No. Maya optimizes what and where to buy for in-store (and your own pickup apps).
Which stores are “in network”?
There is no exclusive club.
Why doesn’t Maya list Kroger / Walmart / …?
She isn’t tied to one chain’s feed.
How much can I save?
Groceries are one of the largest recurring costs in a US household, which is why small per-item differences compound.
Do I have to go to five stores?
No. Cap stops (🛒 💲 + 1️⃣–5️⃣).
Do I need a store club card?
Get the free one... it costs nothing and takes one signup.
What about Costco or Sam’s Club... I’m not a member?
If a membership store is in your local stores, Maya assumes you can shop it.
Does Maya count Costco’s cashback?
No. Maya compares purchase price only and ignores club cashback, reward tiers and annual fees.
Does Maya integrate my Kroger app or digital coupons?
No separate loyalty integration.
Will Maya text me deals all week?
No grocery deal spam.
How do points work for groceries?
Quick “good price?” checks = few points.
What’s pantry management?
Optional. Send receipts; Maya tracks what’s in pantry/fridge and improves predictions.
Can Maya auto-shop for me?
No. Maya plans the trip and tells you where to buy; you check out, in the store or in the store's own app.
Recipe to list?
Yes... recipe → list, skipping what you already have in pantry.
SNAP / EBT?
Maya helps you spend efficiently on eligible items; she doesn’t administer benefits.
Wine and beer?
Yes... 🍷 🍺 🥃 (grocery + specialty stores).
What if an item was out of stock?
Stores change shelves and prices.
What if the price was wrong at the shelf?
Prices can change after the last receipt or photo.
Rural area... not enough data?
Index builds with community receipts.
How is this different from Flipp or coupons?
Coupon apps chase promotions.
Privacy... who sees my list?
Your list and household data are for your Maya service...
How do I scan a barcode to Maya?
Scan the package with a barcode app, then use the app's share button to send just the number to Maya. She replies with the product. On Android, QR & Barcode Scanner by Gamma Play works well. On iPhone, try Fast QR, Bar & UPC Scanner.
